Permanent Line Strainers
(Series PL)

 

Permanent Line (PL) strainer baskets, like BTs, can be removed without disturbing the adjacent piping. Additionally, pressure drop losses are lowest, baskets clog more slowly, and basket volume is greater with PL style strainers than with any alternative styles. PL style strainers should be used where energy losses must be minimized, where ease of cleanout is important, and/or where the maximum period between cleanouts is desired.
PL strainers, being fabricated units, offer a maximum of design, configuration, and material flexibility.
Standard Materials:
  Flanges: A105
Pipe: A53 Gr. B or A106 Gr. B
Plate: A285 Gr. C or A516 Gr. 70
Studs/Nuts: A193 Gr. B7 / A194 Gr. 2H
Gasket: 1/16" thk. Non-Asbestos Gasket
Standard Design Pressure and Temperature:
  PL 150: 150 PSIG @ 500ºF
PL300: 300 PSID @ 650ºF
